Slaying Dragons Press, founded in 2021, is the fruit of a spiritual work begun in 2016 which sought to find new ways to bring people the joy and beauty of the Catholic Faith. By God’s Providence, what began under the name The Retreat Box has grown into The Slaying Dragons Apostolate and more specifically...Slaying Dragons Press.

This work is a grassroots apostolate which does not utilize traditional marketing and advertising but instead thrives on the support and endorsements from those who have enjoyed our publications. As a result, fans of the books and supporters of the mission help increase the reach of Slaying Dragons Press by telling friends, family, priests, religious, and Bishops about these books.

Slaying Dragons Press began as a publishing apostolate for the writings of Charles D. Fraune, the founder of the Press, but has grown to include reprints of St. Alphonsus Liguori, new translations of old Latin books, and new publications from other authors like Fr. Lawrence Carney.

As the Slaying Dragons Apostolate grew since 2021, and as more books were published, the time came to update the website. With that, we launched a new indie press name, more fitting to the apostolate: Slaying Dragons Press.
