Of what use is the Season of Advent? It is a time of preparation for the Lord’s arrival. In one sense, we enter into the misery and longing of ancient Israel, who yearned for the age of grace to dawn. In that state, we then enter into a season of hopeful expectation; hoping, while knowing, that the Christ Child will soon be born!
